The 2014 Holden Scramble local events have now all been run and won. The qualifying teams from each event are now in the midst of battling it out for a prized place at the Championship Final.

The first week of Regional Finals has been dominated by clubs outside of Australia’s capital cities.

Ballarat Golf Club, with their new Head Professional, David Wallis won the Victorian Women’s Final with the top five teams coming from regional Victoria. In the South Australian Women’s State Final, Ian Devlin and Barossa Valley proved to be too strong.

In the mixed events, four clubs (Harvey, Katanning, Pinjarra, and Kalgoorlie) from outside of Perth progressed through the WA finals hosted at Secret Harbour. Borneo Barracks based near Toowoomba made it through the Queensland Regional Final at Palm Meadows and Mudgee Golf Club qualified through in NSW. Dungog Golf Club had a win in New South Wales. Meanwhile, Penrith Golf Club have been the club closest to a capital city to qualify through thus far.

Many more events are yet to be held throughout October and a lucky 30 teams will make their way tho the naturally refreshing Sunshine Coast at Twin Waters in December to contest the 2014 Holden Scramble Championship Final.
