Team Australia will be aiming for a maiden victory this year when Team China return to Australian shores for the 2015 International Challenge.

Now in its fourth year, the International Challenge gives participants from the Buick China Golf Club League and the Holden Scramble the opportunity to play in an international tournament.

The friendly competition will be contested between teams from China and Australia, each with two 12 player squads.

The potential to snare a win on home soil will certainly be a driving force behind the Australian team, who in 2014 managed a tie at the China round and their best finish to date.

Joining the winning team from the 2014 Holden Scramble Championship Final, Palm Meadows, will by seven PGA Professionals, including: Darren Spencer (Devonport GC), Carl Evans (Logan City GC), Jake Nagle (Queanbeyan GC), Nathan Stubbs (Sanctuary Lakes GC),Richard Stokes (Narrabri GC), Shaun Piper (South West Rocks CC), Simon Gough (Shortland Waters GC).

Hosted by Pelican Waters Golf Club on the Sunshine Coast, competitors will be able to enjoy the facilities offered at the Pelican Waters Golf Resort & Spa, while international guests will be treated to traditional customs and delicacies native to Australia during their stay.

International Challenge competitors will be able to take in a practice round on Sunday 22 March before teeing off in a 4BBB Stableford round on Monday 23 March; an individual Stableford round will follow this on Tuesday 24 March.

If unable to secure victory next week, Team Australia will have a second chance when they travel to China for the away leg of the International Challenge.

The Holden Scramble is a pro-amateur club teams event managed by the PGA of Australia.

Since 1992, the Holden Scramble has seen close to one million Australians tee off, making it the largest and most successful pro-amateur teams event in the country and one of the most recognised brands in Australian golf.
